Itinerary: 8 Days in Morocco - From Casablanca to Marrakech

Below is a quick glimpse into my incredible 8-day Moroccan adventure with Ellie.

MOROCCO ITINERARY: FROM CASABLANCA TO MARRAKECH

• Day 1: Casablanca Arrival

  • Arrival at Mohammed V Airport & Transfer to Barcelo Anfa Casablanca

  • Lunch & Dinner at Leisure

    • I was exhausted from the long journey and awaiting my travel partner, so opted to eat at the restaurant inside the hotel. Barcelo Anfa restaurants were delcioius and some of the best food I had on the entire trip!
      

• Day 2: Casablanca - Leisure Day

  • Free Day to Settle In and Explore Casablanca

  • Lunch & Dinner at Leisure
    

• Day 3: Casablanca - Rabat - Casablanca

  • Morning visit to Casablanca's highlights, including the Central Market, Habous District, Royal Palace, Mohammed V Square, Anfa Residential Area & the Hassan II Mosque

  • Lunch at Leisure

  • Afternoon trip to Rabat, including the Royal Palace (Mechouar), Kasbah Oudaya, Mohammed V Mausoleum & Hassan Tower

  • Returned to Casablanca for dinner at Leisure

    
    

• Day 4: Casablanca to Marrakech

  • Travel from Casablanca to Marrakech (approximately 2.5-hour drive)

  • Check-In at Jaal Riad Resort

  • Afternoon visit to the souks and handicraft quarters around Djemaa El Fna Square

  • Dinner at Leisure
    

• Day 5: Marrakech Exploration

  • Full day dedicated to exploring Marrakech, including the Koutoubia Minaret, Bahia Palace & Madrassa Ben Youssef

  • Lunch & Afternoon at Leisure

  • Dinner at a Local Restaurant with a Show
    

• Day 6: Marrakech - Imlil - Marrakech

  • Day trip to Imlil to Enjoy the Green Valleys & Mountain Views

  • Lunch at Leisure (Kasbah Tamadot)

  • Returned to Marrakech for Dinner at Leisure
    

• Day 7: Marrakech - Leisure Day

  • Dat at Leisure to Enjoy Marrakech

  • Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at Leisure
    

• Day 8: Marrakech - Agafay Desert

  • Cooking Class & Lunch at an Organic Farm in the Atlas Mountains

  • Travel to the Agafay Desert for a Sunset Camel Ride (sadly, canceled due to high winds)

  • Dinner & Overnight Stay in the Agafay Desert (Yes We Camp)
    

• Day 9: Departure

  • Breakfast at the Camp before Transfer to Marrakech Airport for Departure
    

Hotels:

• Casablanca: Barcelo Anfa (2 nights)

• Marrakech: Jaal Riad (4 nights)

• Agafay: Yes We Camp (1 night)
